The 1-4 Denver Broncos have the look of a team trying to compete in the Andrew Luck sweepstakes but they are actually a team that can’t figure out which Quarterback to start. For weeks fans have been campaigning for Tim Tebow to take over the reigns of the struggling Broncos and they appear to have gotten their wish.
Tebow was named starter for their upcoming game against the Miami Dolphins. He’ll have an opportunity to prepare himself as Denver has a bye-week this upcoming week. Kyle Orton has had a rough beginning to the 2011 season throwing just one more TD than interception and a sub-par completion percentage.
Orton was benched this past weekend after playing poorly against the San Diego Chargers. Tebow’s number was called and he entered the game with a 26-10 deficit and nearly brought the team all the way back to victory, but was unable to convert a 2-point conversion late in the game.
Well, it’s Tebow Time now. Sure his mechanics are still a little sloppy and his footwork and pocket-presence leaves a bit to be desired, but he has a whole lot of heart and a great attitude. In the words of Julius Campbell (Remember the Titans) – “Attitude reflects leadership,” right?
